01Do I need a consultation before booking?
Yes. Extensions are too personal — and too much of an investment — to skip. The consultation is how we see your hair in person, match your color correctly, and give you accurate pricing. It's also how you get a feel for whether we're the right team for you. Zero pressure to book the same day.
02How much do extensions cost at Lotus?
K-tip extensions start at $390. Weft installs start at $900. Final pricing depends on the amount of hair, length, and your specific goals — we'll walk through it together during your consultation so there are no surprises on install day.
03How long does an install take?
Most K-tip installs take 2–3 hours. Weft installs typically run 3–4 hours. We'll give you an exact timeline at the consultation so you can plan your day — coffee and community table included.
04How long do extensions last?
With proper maintenance, wefts last 6–12 months before needing to be re-tied or replaced. K-tips typically last 3–6 months per application. Maintenance appointments every 6–10 weeks keep everything looking fresh and hair-healthy.
05Will extensions damage my hair?
Not when they're installed and maintained correctly. Our team is certified in the methods we offer, and we build maintenance into every plan. If your hair isn't ready for extensions yet — we'll tell you that honestly instead of selling you anyway.
06Can I still work out, swim, and sleep normally?
Yes to all three. You can work out, wash your hair, sleep on your side, and get in the pool or ocean — there are a few small care rituals (loose braid at night, rinse after chlorine or salt), but nothing that pulls you out of your regular routine. We walk you through everything at pickup.
07Can I color my hair while wearing extensions?
Yes. We pair extensions with lived-in color all the time — balayage, highlights, root work. We'll coordinate the timing during your consultation so your color and extensions work together, not against each other.
08What if I don't love them?
This is exactly why we consult first. We shape the plan around what you actually want before any hair goes in. On install day, small adjustments are normal — length, placement, framing. If something feels off afterward, come back and we'll make it right.
